Cheryl Hines

Cheryl Ruth Hines grew up close to Tallahassee in Florida. Her birthplace was in Miami Beach on September 21 in 1964. She was the child of Rosemary (Graham), and James Hines. She attended West Virginia University, Florida State University and graduated in the University of Central Florida. Then, when she relocated away from Los Angeles to the Groundlings Theater and enrolled in comedy classes there where she really felt that she was taught about humor. Lisa Kudrow was her first tutor. She taught her how to play improvise and create comedy sketches. She used this experience to help her prepare for her part of Larry David's wife on the HBO show Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000).
